Bodyweight Workout

January 25, 2013

I was over at “the youtube” on “the internets” for some transformation inspiration then felt compelled to alight from the sofa for a leg thrashing bodyweight workout.  I have seriously neglected my legs at the gym so this simple workout turned my legs to jello.

  -  stair lunged (3 step span) x 10
  -  pushups x 10
  -  donkey kicks x 10
  -  side kicks x 10

Repeat to failure.

Suh-eeeeem-ple but effective.

Am I the only one who occasionally has to dial up some motivation from youtube or other sites?  Where do you find your inspiration?   In addition to following The Bodyweight Project, I just bought a book by Mark Lauren, You are your own Gym.  Great book.

Also a shout out to any Paleo readers.  Would love to hear what you are having for breakfast.  I am officially The Omelet King but even the king grows weary of eggs….(ssshhhhh, don’t tell the hens. They are a little sensitive after the whole ‘eggs are bad for you’ campaign that was later discredited) .

So great to read this — I totally turn to the internet to find so much great info to help myself with the physical rehab and exercise side of things. It has been better for me than all the physical therapy appointments combined! By the way – the donkey kicks, lunges and side kicks are all major hip rehab moves ~ I especially find donkey kicks helpful when I get out of joint!! ~ Love to you Noah! ~ Robyn

    • Thanks for reading. Your posts inspire me – you have such a great perspective, to approach things with love. Every day is a gift. Even the grey and overcast days. You consistently remind me of that in your posts. I find myself sometimes needing to jump-start the spark be it to workout, write, create… or do donkey kicks! Ha! Be blessed.

  2. I’m never away from youtube on big lifts day! Very motivating to see people younger or smaller than you lifting weights you should be lifting!! haha Glad it’s not just me that is always looking for extra motivations!

  3. That is a very effective workout. The rule of thumb; eat what you need, and not what you want. Good workout.
