Liquid calm

soothing gold

courage

strength

peace.

Another

and I fly.

Another

pours guilt

and admonition.

Doubt rushing

where only

moments before

strength lingered

fleeting

and

uncertain.

  3. Thanks for reading. The form of the poem was actually inspired by the staccato of the clinking ice in the glass.
